Well after spending possibly the best month of my life the time has come to get this thing taken care of.
It has been determined that in addition to a large part of my scalp a portion of my skull must also be removed. A 3D printed implant will be put in its place.
Then an ALT flap will be put in place of the removed scalp tissue.
Below is a photo of the square procedure I had done today. Basically they take a small strip of tissue around the perimeter of where the cancer is believed to have spread. The key to beating this is clear margins and this should help define the affected area. Outpatient, other than what seemed like 50+ numbing shots relatively easy.
Now off to the mountains for one more epic weekend before surgery!
